MEET THE BAND

Haulin' Brass is a show-stopping classic rock band that will have you dancing all night long. With a unique blend of horns, rhythm, and vocals, they're sure to bring the party to your event. The band is comprised of talented musicians who have been performing together for over a decade.

Dave // Drums

Dave has been drumming since age 6. 
He has played at the Wisconsin State Fair, Summerfest, Waukesha and Grafton Blues Festivals, numerous bars, weddings and parties.
Dave is a retired firefighter and currently enjoys volunteering at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Favorite drummers include Buddy Rich and Steve Gadd.

Gary // Vocals

Trained from birth to sing in Church.
Gary has been in Classic Rock cover bands in Long Island NY and South Florida….not to mention thousands of hours auditioning to himself in the car or shower.
Transplanted to Wisconsin in 2022 for family reasons.
Excited to join the incredible live music venues in the North Woods!!

Jana // Vocals & Percussion

Jana began singing professionally in 1990.
She grew up loving classic rock bands like The Grass Roots, Three Dog Night, Aerosmith, Bad Co., Sweet, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac and Chicago.
Although her background is firmly rooted in classic rock, she has covered many genres of music from the 1960s on.
Having performed at many major area venues and festivals including Summerfest and State Fair with previous projects Flying Colors, The Warren Groovy All-Star Band, Quest, Groove Syndicate, Redline Fever, Dusty Jewel and 11 One Louder, she very much looks forward to continuing the adventure with her new and previous bandmates in Milwaukee-area's newest classic rock and roll show band sensation, Haulin' Brass!

Jim // Guitar and Vocals

Jim Carey — no, not that one — is  retired, meaning he can devote his free time to his two passions: Haulin' Brass and the Green Bay Packers.
He once followed the Pack to London. He once followed Haulin' Brass to Waukesha. You rank his priorities.
The Greenfield, WI resident plays lead guitar, and sings backup vocals with Haulin' Brass.
He also has performed in other Milwaukee-based classic rock bands for more than 35 years — when Forrest Gregg and Lindy Infante coached Green Bay — with his favorite music coming from such bands as Chicago, the Doobie Brothers and Santana.

John // Bass and Vocals

John is self taught and has been playing in local variety bands for 40 years.
After being in the woodworking industry for over 35 years, he decided to become his own boss and started a leatherworking business, Gecko Leather Works, where he makes handmade guitar straps.
Past bands include, Loner, Flashback, Past Midnight, The Blake Burrus Band and Cornerstone.
Favorite bass players include, but not limited to James Jamerson, Duck Dunn, Bobby Vega, Roscoe Beck, Rocco Prestia and James Jamerson(he knows, not a typo)

Roger // Trumpet and Vocals

Roger started playing trumpet at age 11 in the school band program in Rhinelander, WI.
While in High School, he was influenced by the horn driven bands of Blood, Sweat and Tears; Chicago, and Chase.
Roger has played in various bands in Wisconsin including: High Impulse and The Rippin' Horns, Quest and Groove Syndicate. He also plays occasionally with the Ripon College Jazz Band and plays with the Friesland Community Band on Tuesday evenings in the summer.

Stephen // Saxophone and Flute

Stephen is a classically trained musician who started playing professionally in high school.   
He switched to bassoon for 2 degrees in college and played in orchestras for several years.  Switched back to sax, clarinet and flute to play with jazz, swing and rock bands.   
Stephen has toured the states with a rock band and later with a swing band including several nice cruises on the Mississippi and to Hawaii.

Tim // Trombone and Vocals

Tim is a retired community newspaper publisher who has been in classic rock horn bands for more than 30 years.
He says Haulin' Brass is his favorite.
Tim has played trombone while riding a bike, jumping on a trampoline and claims to be the only person in the world who can play trombone with no hands.
